Organised by BDVA, Data Week 2025 will center its focus on the fundamental elements of Data Value creation. Artificial intelligence (AI) serves as a pivotal tool in unlocking data value through various means and this is why our event`s theme is “Odyssey of AI: Navigating the Data Seas”. Creating value from data also requires viewing it from an ecosystem perspective and fostering collaboration among multiple stakeholders, which lays the groundwork needed for research excellence, that is required to be rapidly put into action for competitiveness and societal benefit.
This year, Data Week will be a 2-day physical event taking place in Athens, Greece between 27-28 May.
CEDAR will join a dedicated workshop "Navigating Challenges and strategies for data sharing and integration in the Data Space Era" (May 27, 2025 - 14:00 - 15:30). The workshop will explore the variety of profiles of users and stakeholders that can benefit from data sharing and Data Space initiatives, the expected added-value from these users, as well as their needs, starting from the insights obtained in different domains by the participant projects. It will be discussed how the bird-of-a-feather projects address these needs, to align the developments with the real-world evolving landscape and create a community of practice. Participants will identify barriers to delivering value and share innovative approaches to overcoming these obstacles. The workshop will foster idea generation and knowledge sharing using different methodologies and tools.
